4 Apr 05: The value of the mass, resting on planet models, is very uncertain and different with different models.
16 Aug 25: Spectral type M9-L0. A circumplanetary disk inclined by 60.5±0.5° surrounds GQ Lup b along with a potential protolunar disk detected from infrared excess around GQ Lup b. MacGregor et al. (2017) placed an upper limit of 0.04 ME on the dust mass in the disk.

Star

An M dwarf companion star ("GQ Lup C" or 2MASS J15491331-3539118) lies 2,400 AUs away (Alcalá et al. 2020).
