Initially assumed to be either a background galaxy or a Y3-type rogue planet, the object is confirmed as low-mass isolated brown dwarf (spT Y1 ± 0.5) with high proper motion. Capotauro is the former name of Corno alle Scale, a peak of Tuscan-Emilian Apennine (Northern Apennines).
