(2019) assume V Hya to be part of a triple system with a planetary or substellar companion having an orbital period of ∼8.5 yrs (5 < a_Ab < 6 AUs) and a tertiary object, likely a stellar remnant or a companion star, on a much wider (200 < a_B < 1000 AUs) and more eccentric orbit (0.3 < e_B < 0.6).
