Measurements | Detected | 2019 - MUSSO BARCUCCI A. |
(Mamajek & Bell 2014): the age of the beta Pic moving group, to which PZ Tel belongs, has been reassessed to ~23 Myr with respect to the previous estimates of 12 Myr. Papers using the old estimates find significantly lower masses of ~20 Mjup. The values for mass, log(g) and effective temperature indicated in the catalog are from (Jenkins et al. 2012), at this time the only ones computed using an age of ~20 Myr.
(Ginski et al. 2014): the 0.62 value for the eccentricity is a lower limit. Their best-fit orbits have eccentricity >0.9.
