A model explaining the dimming events observed in Boyajian's Star invokes a long-period transiting planet or brown dwarf companion with a 0.1 AUs-wide ring system tilted by 0.3° and a double cohort of Trojan-type asteroids at Lagrange points. An upper mass limit of 130-170 MJup for circular orbits, compatible with a low-mass stellar companion, is not excluded but unlikely (Bruce et al. 2018, Ballesteros et al. 2018).
