Part of ρ Oph star forming region, IRAS 16253-2429 is a class 0 source with internal luminosity of ∼0.08-0.09 L Sol classified as proto-brown dwarf binary with a gas and dust envelope of 18 to 32 MJup. Individual masses are likely about 32 MJup and estimated separation likely equal or less than 0.50 arcseconds (<62 AUs at 125 pc).
