Part of Perseus Cloud (IC 348). A 35 MJup gas and dust envelope surrounds the accreting proto-brown dwarf (L = 0.06 LSol) whose final mass could reach the value of 59 or 75 MJup at most in the future. Additionally it is possible that IC 348-SMM2E is gravitationally bound to protostar SMM2 (L = 0.4-1.1 LSol) 2400 AUs away, which in turn would be a wide separation binary (a = 720 AUs), hence making up a triple system.
