Spectral type L3. Third component of a multiple system including a late F to early G main sequence star with a brown dwarf 312 AUs away and a low-mass pair 11,900 AUs away. The latter is the HD 221356 B-C subsystem, composed of a late M dwarf and an L-type brown dwarf separated by 0.573 arcseconds (about 15 AUs at 26 pc).
