Spectral type L1 ± 1. Fourth component of a multiple system including a low-mass pair 11,900 AUs away composed of a late M dwarf (HD 221356 B or KO 3 B, spT M8V) and an early L dwarf (HD 221356 C o KO 3 C, spT L3V) separated about 15 AUs each other.
Initial mass estimate for the fourth component was 0.08 MSol (Gauza et al. 2012). Recent astrometric measurement provide a lower mass compatible with a brown dwarf (Baig et al. 2024).
