May 2023: Xiao et al. (2023) confirm planetary nature for HD 190228 b obtaining a true mass estimate of 6.1 MJup, close enough to initial value of 5 MJup. Two possible values for orbital inclination are provided: 48-10+16° or 132-16+10°.
11 Jan 2011: Reffert & Quirrenbach (2011) calculate an astrometric mass range of 5.93-147.2 MJup
at the 3 σ level. The errors on inclination are at the 3 σ level. 5 Oct 2010: The former mass estimate of 4.99 MJ is revised to 65.7 MJ, compatible with a massive brown dwarf (Sahlmann et al. 2010). 22 Nov. 2000: From astrometry Han et al. (2000) claim a preliminary mass of 45 MJ and inclination of 6.3°, compatible with a brown dwarf.
