GG Tauri is a quintuple system whose primary component (GG Tau A or Aa, spT K7V or M0.5Ve) is itself binary made of a late type K star and an early M dwarf (GG Tau Ab, spT M0.5V) about 35 AUs away tracing an eccentric orbit (e = 0.28, i = 143°). Companion star GG Tau Ab too is binary with a second M dwarf (GG Tau Ab1, spT M3V) about 4.5 AUs away. The secondary component GG Tau B (spT M5.5V) lies about 1500AUs away from GG Tau A and hosts a substellar companion (GG Tau Bb, spT M7.5V) about 14 AUs away or less.
