Joncour et al. (2017) report physical association between CIDA 1 and protostar MHO 2 (spT M2.5) located 16,343 AUs away, itself a close binary (0.05 arcseconds, 6.65 AUs at 133 pc) with small mass ratio (q = 0.34, m1 = 0.33 MSol and m2 = 0.11 MSol; Kraus et al. 2011).
This would make CIDA 1 the component of a complex multiple system if MHO 1 is accounted too (spT M2.5), located 4.04 arcseconds away from MHO 2 (537 AUs at 133 pc). Joncour et al. (2017) reported association between MHO 2 and MHO 3 too (a = 9939 AUs), but parallax measurements for the latter do not support binarity (d = 242 pc for MHO 3).
