Presence of a planetary companion is inferred to explain auroral emission from brown dwarf 2MASS J1237+6526, which is possible for a planet at the same radial distance as Io from Jupiter (5.9 RJ ), but with a radius 10 times larger than Io’s (r = 2.8 Earth radii) or alternatively an Earth-sized planet at a distance of 3.5 RJ. However no short-period companion around 2MASS J1237+6526 has been to dated reported as transits in photometric surveys.
