10 Aug 2011: Rodriguez et al (2011) give a mass 6-11 MJup, but Burgasser et al. (2010) consider that it can be < 6 MJup
16 Feb 2011: Burgasser et al give the name Ross 458C. According to the tentative uniformizing designation system explained in Schneider , Dedieu et al. (2011 section 4.2), we give the name Ross 458(AB)c because the primary is a binary (designated as GJ 494AB by Simbad - ackowledgment to Simbad for their remark), and an small "c" because it is a planet.
